​About us: Markham Lutheran Church (MLC) was established in Markham, Illinois, "the Prairie City in the Prairie State," 85 years ago. The Lutheran Church believes that grace is God's free gift: "...while we still were sinners, Christ died for us" (Rom 5:8b, NRSV). We experience it through Baptism, God's Word, and Holy Communion: water, word, bread, and wine. Through these means, God strengthens us in our confidence and faith and in our love and concern for each other and the world.
