About us: Markham Lutheran Church (MLC) was established in Markham, Illinois, "the Prairie City in the Prairie State," 85 years ago. The Lutheran Church believes that grace is God's free gift: "...while we still were sinners, Christ died for us" (Rom 5:8b, NRSV). We experience it through Baptism, God's Word, and Holy Communion: water, word, bread, and wine. Through these means, God strengthens us in our confidence and faith and in our love and concern for each other and the world.
As a visitor, we welcome you in the name of our Savior, Jesus Christ. As a prospective member, we invite you to discover how becoming a part of our church family may serve your needs, and to explore how your talents may be used in the Lord's work in our congregation and the community.
